In 2015, Elvira founded a residential care facility, Providence Corporation. Providence Corporation provides residential services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As the Executive Director, Elvira insists on above market starting rate for her employees. She also pays for 100% of her employees' health insurance premium.

Elvira is a single mom. Her son, Jordan, is an accounting student at La Salle University and a graduate from The Haverford School and Wilmington Friends School.
Elvira lives in Wayne with her dogs, Ash and Carter.
